Job Type
- Full-time/Part-time
Responsibilities
- Presentation drawings
- Integration of schematic designs into design development documents
- Creation of full construction drawings
- Coordinating work with engineers
- Interacting with clients & appropriate government permitting agencies
- Abilities to further assist in design with 3-D modeling, such as sketch up, are desired.
Experience and a thorough and efficient knowledge of residential construction and AutoCAD are essential. Samples of private residential construction documents you have completed will be required at interview. Abilities may be tested. Beginning hourly pay are dependent on abilities and experience conveyed at start, with expected increases as ability and willingness for added responsibility is shown and a full understanding of any additional talents and abilities is gained.
This position may be part-time or full time based on employee’s abilities. For part timers, the hours are flexible weekdays, preferably specific days.

Responsibilities
- Plot, print, and organize plans and calculations
- Assistance in modifying and/or preparing engineering calculations
- Assist the design team with finding solutions to complex problems

Qualification
- Proficiency and Drafting experience with AutoCAD is plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, other design software such as ENERCALC and RISA are also a plus.
- This position is ideal for a responsible, motivated person seeking long-term employment. Previous management experience is a plus.
- Must be quick to learn, self-starter, detail-oriented, reliable and have good ethical & interpersonal skills.
- Design/detailing experiences in steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures in seismic region are required.
- Candidates must be able to work efficiently whether as a team member or independently.
Education/License
- Bachelor’s in civil/structural Engineering (Required)
- Master’s Degree(preferred)
Experience
- Licensed Engineer (5 years minimum experience)
- Non-licensed Engineer (0-5 years experience, EIT preferred)
- Engineering Intern/Coop (experience preferred, but not required)
